"Taking care of your appearance is very important in our society. As acne typically occurs on the face, it has a greater impact on how we perceive ourselves," says Quinn Chen, managing director of www.icesecret.co. Her mother IceMichelle Chen has started her career in the beauty industry in 1999.
She once had acne-prone, very sensitive skin that struggled in the humid climate of Singapore. "I was able to get rid of it after applying products from Ice's Secret, introduced by IceMichelle in 2012," adds Quinn. Ice's Secret received Singapore's Most Innovative Brand Award in 2015 and 2016.
After experiencing significant improvements in her skin, Quinn decided to share Ice's Secret's solution with others with acne, inflammation, bacterial infections, excessive oiliness, and other skin concerns caused or exacerbated by humidity.
She transformed Ice's Secret from a professional-use brand in her family's boutique spas into www.icesecret.co, a new online company that specialises in helping people achieve a radiant, healthy complexion, thanks to her Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Media Analytics.
Despite the Covid-19 pandemic, Ice's Secret has been able to penetrate the skincare market, thanks to its strong digital presence, including a live streaming platform hosted by Quinn, as well as its unique approach to skincare.
